General Information

Partially Open

Travellers to Jersey can enter provided they will have a COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours of arrival to Jersey or can opt to quarantine for 14 days.

Mask Requirement

Mask is required to be worn in all public indoor, public transport and certain outdoor areas where social distancing is not possible.

Internal Restrictions/Closures

Jersey has moved to level 1 framework from August 8, There will be a small set of changes that will be introduced on 8 August.

However, Islanders should not assume any further relaxations following this point.  Most shops are open subject to observing the public health guidelines, which might mean queues and other changes to your typical shopping experience.

People are advised to use hand sanitisers (with 60% to 70% alcohol content), physical distancing and cloth masks or nose or mouth coverings particularly in these indoor environments. 

Everyone is strongly encouraged to continue safer hygiene. Cloth masks are advised in enclosed public spaces such as shops and on public transport. You should keep a physical distance of 2 metres from anyone you don’t live with. 

Social gatherings, especially in private settings, such as parties, barbecues or informal get-togethers should be limited to a maximum of 20 people in Level 2.

Airlines & Transport

Borders have already reopened. Testing will be offered on arrival at Jersey International Airport and St Helier Harbour Elizabeth Terminal though you may be directed to attend alternative testing centres if necessary.

Passengers arriving by other points, including private maritime and air travel, are required to pre-register before departure.

Everyone planning to travel to Jersey is required to complete an online registration form before departure, stating their personal details including but not limited to:

-contact information

-type of transport

-travel dates

-address(es) they will be staying at throughout their stay in Jersey

-details of travel within the 14 days before arrival in Jersey

-declaration of health including disclosure of symptoms, previous positive test results and close contact with known infected individuals.

Depending on the information provided, you may be asked to undergo additional testing requirements or you may be required to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival regardless of whether you opt into the testing programme or not.
